Salwa from Buckwild jailed after testing positive for morphine & oxycodone. We hope she gets the help she needs- it's NOT too late to turn your life around Salwa...you can do it! |
Ahh, reality stars. They're just like us! Well, if you happen to be someone who sells heroin and hides out in sheds to avoid the po-po during a raid of your house!
MTV 'Buckwild' star Salwa Amin found herself in a boatload of trouble last month after local police received a tip that a large shipment of drugs was expected to be delivered to her residence. After setting up surveillance on the house (and noticing large amounts of people were entering and leaving the house for short periods of time- major giveaway that drug-deals were going on!) a warrant was obtained and police began the raid.
Salwa and two other suspects were found hiding in a backyard shed attempting to evade the police. Large quantities of money and oxycodone pills (a highly addictive narcotic pain medication which when taken in large doses produce a high similar to that of heroin) were found on the individuals, as well as three bags of heroin hidden in the shed.
The homeowner told police Salwa and accomplice transported the drugs to his home with the intent to sell and distribute them.
Salwa was arrested on two felony counts of drug possession with intent to distribute.
Last week Salwa was arrested AGAIN after failing a court ordered drug test, testing positive for oxycodone and morphine and was sent to Central Regional Jail.
People are very quick to brush off people in situations like this "It's all their fault! They deserve it!" Please keep in mind drugs may start off as a choice, but can end in addiction...which is a DISEASE, something that physically changes brain chemistry. I would speculate in a case like (continuing to use drugs while being monitored by the court) that Salwa may be suffering from a serious addiction. If this is the case I hope she receives the help, treatment and guidance she needs.
With the tragic death of Shane Gandee, and Salwa's arrests...will there be a season two? Seems like MTV would have A LOT of serious subjects to address on a not-so-serious show. But I suppose that would be great for ratings?
